One of the largest living turtles. It is easily differentiated by its shell, which is covered by skin and oily flesh.

A common gecko that is nocturnal. Most geckos were spread through ships, as they hang around just about anywhere. They are non-venomous and bite if aggravated. It can lose its tail if necessary to escape a predator.

This species is endemic to the island of Socorro. It is distributed throughout the island and absent from areas of erosion, due to the increase of sheep.
